The World, on Mercador's Projection

By: David H. Burr

Entered according to Act of Congress, in 1834, by J.H. Colton & Co. in the clerks office of the District Court of the Southern District of New York.

Interesting notes:

The entire midwest of the United States including Texas and California at the time belonged to Mexico.

What is now Alaska was known as Russian America.

One can appreciate the sheer size of the Russian Empire.

Published: 1840.
